mallowstreet University Digital Roundtable: Environmental Investing to help tackle Climate Change

“The challenges currently posed by climate changes pale in significance compared with what might come... The more we invest with foresight; the less we will regret in hindsight”

Mark Carney

With an estimated environmental investment shortfall of $2 trillion each year compared to what is required in order to the meet the Paris Agreement 1.5°C ambition, it is clear we should all be focused on investing with foresight in order to help address the problem facing us all.

In an otherwise growth-challenged world, environmental investing also benefits from a powerful structural growth trend that can help investors to achieve long-term attractive returns.

In this session, we will explore the concept of environmental investing to help tackle climate change in the public equity markets. We will discuss the risks and opportunities for climate aware investors, how a solution can be implemented at the portfolio level, and the considerations to take into account when measuring and reporting the impact from this investing.

This morning session is accredited for CPD points by the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) and is exclusively for pension fund decision makers and their advisers.
