MS Amlin has appointed Jessie Burrows as its chief financial officer. The Lloyd’s insurer said she will assume her new role at the beginning of 2024, subject to regulatory approval.
She will work alongside the insurer’s retiring CFO Phil Green throughout the first quarter of 2024.
Burrows brings more than 25 years of knowledge and experience across the financial services sector to MS Amlin. She is currently managing director for customer sales, service and claims at Direct Line Group for both commercial and personal lines.
Prior to Direct Line, Burrows held a variety of senior roles at Aviva, including head of investor relations, audit director for Aviva Global Asset Management, chief accounting officer and financial planning and analysis director for Aviva’s UK & Ireland general insurance business. Before that, Burrows was a senior manager for KPMG’s insurance practice.
Burrows will report to MS Amlin’s chief executive Andrew Carrier, who said: “Jessie brings extensive board level experience, financial expertise and business leadership, alongside a highly impressive track record for improving profitability and performance. Her experience in transformation and delivering client-focussed solutions will be enormously valuable to our executive team and wider business.”
