The Pensions Management Institute is launching a thought leadership centre and a new logo, it revealed on Thursday, “to better reflect its core values of being professional, inclusive, collaborative, future-focused and trusted”.
The pensions education provider is creating a ‘Global Innovation Centre’ to bring together international insights into lifetime savings. The centre “will bring members and the UK pension industry the best examples, solutions, and ideas to transform the way the industry thinks and position the UK pension sector as a world leader”, it said.
It stressed that the centre will not only focus on pensions but extend to a broader range of lifetime savings.
PMI chair Ruston Smith said the pace of change and how people learn continues to accelerate, including through technology, adding that the PMI needs to adapt in response.
“We have a clear strategy where, with the support of our members and the wider industry, we will continue our mission to develop a skilled, innovative, and agile pensions workforce that will aim to deliver improved long-term retirement outcomes,” Smith added.
The PMI’s core proposition will continue to be professional pension education, including the PMI Academy and its member community, while it will putting more emphasis on innovation in pension fund management.
