Exploring Frontiers: What can frontier markets add to a global emerging market portfolio?

Ross Teverson, Head of Strategy, Emerging Markets will discuss the benefits of having exposure to frontier markets, which can offer unique stock picking opportunities supported by structural tailwinds. These markets also often have a low correlation to the larger emerging markets, adding an extra level of diversification to a global emerging market portfolio.

Following a recent trip to Africa, Ross will offer some on the ground insights into Kenya and Nigeria and the current opportunities he sees in these countries.

Ross Teverson Head of Strategy, Emerging Markets
Ross joined Jupiter in 2014 and is currently Head of Strategy, Emerging Markets. He manages the Jupiter Global Emerging Markets Fund (Unit Trust) and the Jupiter Global Emerging Markets Equity Unconstrained fund (SICAV). He also co-manages, alongside Charles Sunnucks, the Jupiter China Fund (Unit Trust), the Jupiter China Select fund, and the Jupiter Emerging & Frontier Income Trust PLC.
Prior to joining Jupiter, Ross worked for 15 years at Standard Life Investments, where he managed a global emerging markets equity fund. Ross spent 7 years in Standard Life Investment’s Hong Kong office, where he managed an Asian equity fund, and was a director of the business.
Ross is a graduate of Oxford University and is a CFA® charterholder.
