Arif Joshi | Lazard Asset Management Managing Director, Lazard Asset Management Arif Joshi is a Portfolio Manager/Analyst on Lazard's Emerging Markets Debt team. He began working in the investment field in 1998. Prior to joining Lazard in 2010, Arif was with HSBC Global Asset Management (formerly Halbis) where he served as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager. At HSBC, Arif was responsible for global emerging markets, focusing on corporate and sovereign credit analysis, risk management and quantitative modeling. He began this role at The Atlantic Advisors LLC (acquired by HSBC in 2005). Prior to HSBC, he was an associate at Strategic Management Group where he advised Fortune 500 companies on finance and corporate strategy. Arif has an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Vivina Berla | Sarona Asset Management Vivina joined Sarona in 2011 to lead the growth and evolution of the firm into the institutional market. Prior to Sarona, she worked for 20 years in the institutional investment world, of which 11 years included private equity in the US and Europe. She held senior positions during 10 years at Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in London and left her role as Managing Director Alternative Investments to join Gartmore Investment Management as Head of EMEA in 2004. Vivina's first career included 11 years in the steel industry in Latin America, Asia, Africa and Middle East. She graduated from the London School of Economics and obtained an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She is a member of the London School of Economics’ Court of Governors and Finance Committee.

Thomas Schaffner | Vontobel Asset Management Thomas Schaffner joined Vontobel Asset Management in 2009 and manages the mtx Sustainable Emerging Markets Leaders. He is also portfolio manager for the mtx China Leaders fund, and the mtx Sustainable Asian Leaders (ex Japan) fund.
Prior to joining Vontobel, Thomas was equity analyst at Lombard Odier in Hong Kong covering regional Asian (ex Japan) and was previously portfolio manager at Credit Suisse.
Thomas holds a MBA with a specialization in China Business from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting & Finance from the University of Applied Sciences in Basel. He is a CFA charterholder.

Peter Saacke | Artemis Investment Management Fund Manager Peter has managed the Artemis Global Capital strategy since January 2004 and co-managed the Artemis Global Emerging Markets Fund since its launch in April 2015. He joined Artemis in December 2002 from Merrill Lynch, where he worked as an equity strategist from 1999. Peter holds a BA in mathematics & philosophy from the University of Oxford, an MA in economics from Freiburg University and a PhD in economics from Hamburg University. He is a CFA charterholder, a partner in Artemis, chief investment officer and a member of the executive committee.

Raheel Altaf | Artemis Investment Management Fund Manager Raheel has managed the Artemis Global Emerging Markets Fund with Peter Saacke since launch in April 2015. A Cambridge graduate in electrical engineering, he joined Fidelity International in 2002 as a quantitative analyst. In 2007 he was promoted to portfolio manager for a range of funds which grew to $2.5 billion. He moved to Fulcrum Asset Management in 2011. In 2014 Raheel joined Artemis to help Philip Wolstencroft and Peter manage the SmartGARP® funds and institutional mandates.
