Sammy Cooper Smith, Rothesay Life Sammy is Co-Head of Business Development at Rothesay Life. His role is to lead the deal process, liaising with prospective clients and their advisers from the initial stages through execution. In this role Sammy has worked on a number of risk transfer processes including the reinsurance arrangement with Zurich and the £1.6bn buy-in with the CAA Pension Scheme among others. Sammy has been with Rothesay Life since they acquired Paternoster in 2010 and has worked in pension de-risking for 10 years, and annuities in general for 18 years.

Jonathan Crowther, AXA Investment Managers With 25 years’ experience, Jonathan joined AXA-IM in 2013 to build AXA-IM’s LDI capability; establishing the governance, resources and strategy to deliver best-in-class, de-risking solutions to UK pension schemes.
Previously at LGIM, Jonathan was a founding member of its Solutions Group overseeing delivery of advanced risk management and hedging solutions to 100+ schemes. Jonathan was engaged in all aspects of the LDI business. When a Senior Consultant at Watson Wyatt, Jonathan specialised in LDI, governance and risk budgeting.
Jonathan is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.

Dinesh Visavadia, Independent Trustee Dinesh is currently a Director at Independent Trustee Services Limited and sits on the Trustee boards of a number of UK and Irish pension plans. He was previously the Head of Pensions and Benefits at Britvic Soft Drinks Limited, and Head of Pensions at the John Lewis Partnership, Royal Mail Group and JP Morgan where he was responsible for pension strategy and overall management of the pension plans including governance matters.
Dinesh is also a trustee of the Action for Children Pension Fund and a trustee of St Christopher’s Fellowship, both charities working for vulnerable children. He is also a trustee of the Swan Foundation, a charity working to improve the local community.
