Based in London, Adam Smears is Head of Fixed Income Research and lead portfolio manager on the Russell Investments Unconstrained Fixed Income Strategy globally. Before joining, Adam spent nine years at Skandia Investment Group.

Geoff Cheetham Independent Investment Consultant, The Pensions RegulatorGeoff enjoyed a 35-year career working in a range of senior executive positions for a number of global asset management organisations before stepping away from his City career in 2017. A large part of his career has been spent focused upon the UK DB and DC Institutional Pension markets defining and implementing appropriate Investment and Governance solutions for the range of challenges that Pension Schemes continue to face today. Geoff works as an internal Investment Adviser at TPR advising colleagues on UK workplace pension schemes’ investment arrangements in the context of both casework and policy matters.

Adam Sorab Pensions Manager Adam sits on the BUPA Pension Fund Investment Committee as an independent member, a position he has occupied since 2009.
Adam is a hedge fund manager and from 2004 until recently he was head of Technical research at CQS. Prior to joining CQS in 2004, Adam was a Director of Absolute Return Strategies at Deutsche Asset Management in London, responsible for Europe & Middle East. Adam joined DeAM from Credit Suisse first Boston, where he was a founding member and Director of the firms hedge fund operation, the Leveraged Funds Group. Before this, he worked at Schroders in London as a currency and interest rates derivatives trader.
Adam holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the London School of Economics (1984). He was President of the International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA) from 2009 to 2012 and is a Fellow and former Chairman of the UK's Society of Technical Analysts (STA).
