Eastspring Investments’ Sam Bentley will be introducing their successful valuation driven investment approach to investing in global emerging market (GEM) equities. Post GFC we have seen investors build a substantial bias towards increasingly expensive quality and growth stocks in their GEM equity portfolios which a GEM Value exposure will help mitigate. Sam will discuss Eastspring’s approach to navigating the often ignored GEM value space including how they identify attractively valued companies, their reliance on deep fundamental research and their integrated approach to considering ESG factors.

Sam Bentley joined Eastspring Investments, the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc, as Client Portfolio Manager, in August 2008.
Sam is the Client Portfolio Manager for the Regional Asia and Global Emerging Market equity strategies and is responsible for representing the views and the strategies of the respective investment teams.
Prior to joining Eastspring Investments, Sam worked at Henderson Global Investors in London for 8 years and has 19 years of financial industry experience.
