  3. Generations – Does When you’re Born Shape who you Are?

Generational thinking is a really big idea that’s been horribly corrupted by endless stereotypes, cliches and myths. This is a real shame, because a better understanding of what’s truly different between generations is a key way to understand the future for our own workforces, clients and society in general.

This session will separate the myths from realities, and give participants a simple framework to understand the type of change we’re seeing. This is vital for leaders in how they engage with their own changing workforce, how they understand changing demand in their market, and how they themselves have been shaped by when they were born.

It draws on studies that cover over 3 million interviews across dozens of countries to give an international perspective, and includes interactive exercises, asking participants to consider how accurate their own views of generations really are and how that affects their approach to leadership.

  13. ESG at the Crossroads

2022 was a year ESG experienced a real backlash. It was rocked by performance challenges, a political anti-ESG campaign and an activist/whistleblower spotlight on pervasive greenwashing practices. Regulators followed suit and announced increased ESG regulation while cracking down on corporate misstated ESG claims.

In this session we explore what’s in store for ESG investing in 2023? Will 2022's ESG backlash continue? With increasing greenwashing concerns and mounting regulatory actions, how can asset owners (and asset managers) best navigate this landscape? Providing insights and a framework to help to navigate the challenges to sustainable investing ahead.
