Delegates are expected to attend the full event. We do understand that this is a time commitment in diaries. Please do let us know if you need to step away for a call/meeting and we shall adjust your personal agenda.

The mallowstreet Defined Contribution Indaba* brings together professionals from the ever growing world of Defined Contribution to hear a selection of interactive keynote presentations and Investment Masterclasses. These will be interspersed throughout the day and will highlight the key components needed as the world of DC rises to replace the rapidly shrinking DB market.

This event is FREE to attend for investment decision makers and their advisers and is accredited for CPD points by the Pensions Management Institute (PMI).

*An Indaba (pronounced in-dar-bah) is an important conference held by the izinDuna (principal people) of the Zulu or Xhosa people. The term comes from a Zulu language word meaning "business" or "matter".

  3. Regulation in DC – An Evolving Market

The nature of work and retirement is changing, with the balance of pension provision continuing to shift from DB to DC. As the DC market gains momentum, consolidation remains a key trend with Master Trusts playing an increasingly important role in pension provision.

As we tackle key issues like VFM, climate change, decumulation and much more, we are experiencing a critical reshape of the DC pensions landscape. So what’s next for the market, and how is The Pensions Regulator evolving their regulatory framework to adapt to this ever changing environment?

  9. A Master Trust Trustee’s View: Putting Members at the Heart of Our Decision Making

Members are at the heart of the work we do. Master trusts bring into focus the challenge of ensuring continued compliance with the supervision regime alongside delivering value for members and supporting members to make the right decisions at the right time to deliver good outcomes.

I will consider the risks facing members and how trustees respond to these. As the market evolves there are opportunities to enhance what we offer to members and support them through the Master Trust, both as they seek to grow their pots and start to draw from them.
