Jiwei Dong NEST
Jiwei gained a BA in Economics from Peking University, China and an MSC and PhD in Finance, Lancaster University, UK. He holds Chartered Financial Analyst accreditation (CFA) and financial risk manager (FRM) designations. Prior to joining Nest, he was a quantitative researcher on global macro strategies at two different asset managers, Barclay Global Investor and Auriel Capital. He started his career in investment management as a quantitative analyst at Crosby Capital, covering fund manager research.

Lorenzo Orfali The Pensions Regulator
Lorenzo is a consultant in the Investment Team at the Pensions Regulator. Since joining TPR in 2022, he has been providing specialist investment input on the supervision of a range of DB and DC Master Trust schemes, as well on the development pensions policy. On the latter, his focus has been the new DB Funding Code and associated regulations, the use of leveraged LDI by DB pension schemes, and CDC. Prior to joining the Regulator, Lorenzo was an investment consultant working with trustees of pension schemes and UK charitable endowments. Lorenzo is a CFA® charterholder.

Chelsea Parandian AON
Chelsea is a Senior Consultant in Aon’s Investment Manager Research team providing manager selection and monitoring across fixed income. As a key decision maker for advisory clients and delegated portfolios she advises on portfolio construction decisions for both DB and DC clients.
Specialising in Fixed Income, her expertise spans liquid credit including Multi-Asset Credit, Absolute Return Bond, Emerging Market Debt and Corporate Credit funds. In addition to her role, Chelsea also leads on integrating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to Aon’s manager research. Prior to Aon, Chelsea worked on the Fixed Income & Alternatives research team at Stanhope Capital and prior to that at EIM Ltd.

Padmesh Shukla Transport for London (TFL) Pension Fund
Padmesh is CIO of the £14bn Transport for London Pension Fund, where he has delivered major changes from diversifying the Fund’s bond and equities portfolio to building its over £5bn alternatives programme, with non-UK assets making up close to 80% of the Fund. He has also lead the Fund’s sustainability and engagement strategy, which lead to the Fund announcing a very ambitious Net Zero and “ESG tilted” investment targets late last year. Emerging markets and climate change are of particular interest to him, having previously worked at the World Bank and the Centre for International Development.
Padmesh attended Harvard University on full scholarship, where he completed his Masters in International Economics and Development (major in Finance) and has a Bachelors in Civil Engineering. He sits on the UK CFA Asset Owner Council and several boards and is involved in multiple research and policy initiatives.
