Ben Buckler Client Service Director, Baillie Gifford
Ben is a Client Service Director in the Clients Department and Chairs the China Product Group. He joined Baillie Gifford on the Investment Management Graduate Scheme in 2001 and was an Investment Manager in our Emerging Markets Team until 2008, when he relocated to China. Ben worked in Hong Kong for 6 years as an Executive Director in the Asian Equities business at UBS. He returned to Baillie Gifford in 2018. Ben is a CFA Charterholder and has an MBA from the University of Oxford. He graduated MA in Geography from Mansfield College, Oxford in 2001.

Piers Lowson Director, Baillie Gifford
Piers joined Baillie Gifford in 2007 and is a Director in the Clients Department where he is responsible for UK institutional business development.
After spending 15 years in Investment Banking as a Director of NatWest Markets, Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank AG, he joined a start-up Risk Management Consultancy Company, Barrie & Hibbert, which was subsequently acquired by Goldman Sachs and Moody’s.
Piers is an elected member of the Expert Witness Institute. He has acted as an adviser to the FCA on a number of occasions, most recently as a member of the Institutional Disclosure Working Group. Currently he is acting as an advisor to the LGPS Scheme Advisory Board on responsible investment.
Piers graduated BSc in Chemistry from the University of Essex and obtained an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Business School.

Geoffrey Lunt Director, Senior Investment Specialist for Asian Fixed Income, HSBC Asset Management
Geoffrey is responsible for promoting HSBC’s Asian fixed income capability globally. Before taking up his current position in Hong Kong in July 2011, he managed global bond portfolios for HSBC in London.
Geoffrey has been working in the industry since 1992. Prior to joining HSBC in 2003, he worked as a fund manager at Investec Asset Management where he managed bond funds for insurance companies and UK local authorities. Previously he was a director of Plough Court Fund Management.
He holds a degree in Classics from the University of London.

Jasvir Virk Business Development Director, HSBC Asset Management
Jasvir is a Business Development Director at HSBC Asset Management with a focus on UK Institutional Pensions.
Jasvir joins from BlackRock, where she was a Senior Director and a member of the UK institutional business responsible for client relationship management and business development. Prior to that, she was Head of European Client Relations at PineBridge Investments, working with both institutional and intermediary clients. Jasvir has also held several roles at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
Jasvir holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cambridge and is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate.
