Marian Elliott Global Head of Risk & Sustainability, GFG AllianceMarian is the Global Head of Risk and Sustainability at GFG Alliance, a global group of companies including Liberty Steel, Alvance Aluminium and Simec Energy. Prior to joining GFG, Marian was a Managing Director at Redington, helping large institutional asset owners to develop and implement risk management strategies, including their approach to ESG risks and opportunities.
Marian is also a Non-Executive Director of USS and Chair of their Pension Committee. She is the author of an award-winning paper on risk management, has served three terms on the Council of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries and currently works with the Education Committee of the IFoA Sustainability Board.
Outside of work, Marian can usually be found outdoors on a bicycle, hiking or running (sometimes after two small children!)

Claire Jones Partner and Head of Responsible Investment, LCPClaire is an actuary with over 20 years’ experience spanning investment, pensions and sustainability.
She is head of responsible investment at LCP, helping LCP’s clients to include environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors in their investment processes, with the aim of delivering sustainable long-term financial returns. She ensures that ESG and stewardship considerations are embedded in LCP’s investment manager research across all asset classes and leads LCP’s research into specialist equity funds that have an ESG focus.
Climate change is a particular focus of Claire’s work, including helping pension scheme trustees meet the new TCFD requirements. She was a member of the Pensions Climate Risk Industry Group (PCRIG) that developed climate change guidance for pension schemes of all sizes. She also led an Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ working party that published a series of reports in 2017-2020 to help pensions actuaries take account of climate change in their advice.

Chandra has close to two decades of experience in ESG and sustainable investing, credit structuring and portfolio management.

Gail Hurley UK/Europe Director, Tobacco Free Portfolios
Gail is UK/Europe Director of Tobacco Free Portfolios, an independent non-profit organisation that works collaboratively with financial institutions to encourage them to re-evaluate their commercial relationships with tobacco companies. Gail is an experienced sustainable finance professional and spent 10 years with the United Nations in New York, where she led in the development of the world’s first tobacco control social impact bond, an innovative finance mechanism designed to support tobacco farmers in Zambia transition to alternative livelihoods.
