Anthony Curl Co-Head of Long Income - Alpha Real Capital
Anthony joined Alpha Real Capital at the start of 2019 and is Co-Head of the Long Income team. Anthony has over 16 years’ financial services and investment management experience, including across private asset classes and particularly in the context of liability-aware investing.
Prior to joining Alpha, Anthony set and implemented investment strategies at life insurance companies, including as Portfolio Manager for Friends Life’s annuity portfolios. He was also a Director at BlackRock, where he worked directly with UK pension fund clients. Anthony started his career in banking and as a leveraged loans credit analyst.

Stuart Hanson Associate Director, Client Solutions - Alpha Real Capital
Stuart joined the Client Solutions team at Alpha in August 2021. His focus is to help further develop the firm’s business with pension funds and their advisers.
Stuart has over 11 years’ experience in the pensions industry. Prior to joining Alpha, he held business development roles in the fiduciary management teams at Willis Towers Watson and Cardano.
Stuart holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).

Ian Berry Head of Infrastructure - River and Mercantile
Ian has over 25 years’ experience as an infrastructure investment professional, with extensive experience in establishing, investing and managing funds and investing in energy-transition and digital-transition infrastructure. Ian’s experience includes: building and leading infrastructure teams/businesses, defining fund strategy, determining portfolio construction, investment strategy, overseeing origination and post-acquisition investment management and client engagement. Ian’s background is also heavily focused on the infrastructure sector with experience in infrastructure lending, infrastructure M&A advisory, deal execution, financial modelling and valuations and sector research.

Arabella Townshend Head of UK Institutional - River and Mercantile
Arabella is a director, and Head of UK Institutional Distribution, working with her team to provide investment solutions to UK pension schemes, their consultants and trustees. Arabella joined River and Mercantile in 2010 from Edinburgh University where she gained a MSc Hons degree in Geography.
