Nick Payne Head of Strategy, Global Emerging Markets Focus, Jupiter Asset Management
Nick is head of strategy, global emerging markets focus. He joined Jupiter in July 2020. Before joining Jupiter, Nick was Head of Global Emerging Markets at Merian Global Investors. Prior to this, he worked at Nomura Asset Management, where he was appointed head of emerging and frontier equities in 2015 as well as managing a global emerging markets equity fund. Before this, he worked at Rexiter Capital Management as director and head of Latin America. He began his investment career as a graduate trainee at Kleinwort Benson in 1996.
Nick has a B.Com in Commerce with German and is an Associate of the UK Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP).

Rachel Perini Head of UK Institutional, Jupiter Asset Management
Rachel Perini is Head of UK Institutional. She is responsible for the management of the UK Institutional client business and all aspects with the relationship with Institutional clients in the UK. Rachel joined Jupiter Asset Management in October 2021. Prior to this, Rachel was a Client Relationship Manager, Executive Director, within UBS Asset Management’s Institutional business. She had responsibility for business development and all aspects of the relationship with several strategic UK institutional clients and consultants. Rachel is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society of the UK. Rachel has a degree in Finance and Information Technology from the University of Virginia.

John Engel Managing Director, 57 Stars
Mr. Engel joined 57 Stars in 2007, and is responsible for the sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and monitoring of private equity investments across the firm’s target markets. He participates on the advisory boards of several private equity funds. He has more than a decade of private equity investment experience in both the US and Emerging Markets.
Prior to joining 57 Stars, Mr. Engel worked for Pacific Corporate Group, a private equity investment advisory firm. Mr. Engel holds a BS (magna cum laude) in Biochemistry / Cellular Biology from the University of California at San Diego, and is a CFA Charterholder.

Marina Leytes Senior Vice President, 57 Stars
Marina is a Senior Vice President focusing on ESG integration and impact strategy at 57 Stars. She also supports overall investor relations efforts. Prior to 57 Stars, Marina was with Sarona Asset Management, an impact-focused emerging markets fund manager, where she led investor relations and ESG and impact management efforts. She also worked for the World Economic Forum as a Project Manager for Impact Investing and Blended Finance Initiatives. She began her career at Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, LLC (a Carlyle subsidiary), where she led portfolio analysis and reporting for the company’s funds.
Marina holds a B.A. (magna cum laude) in Computer Science from New York University and an M.A. in Development Economics from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She speaks English, Russian, and Spanish.

Scott Moses Portfolio Manager - EM Debt, MetLife Investment Management
Scott is a portfolio manager and member of the emerging market debt team for MetLife Investment Management (MIM) Public Fixed Income. In this role, he a portfolio manager on the emerging market debt blend strategy and the emerging market debt corporate bond strategy.
Scott joined MIM in September 2017, in connection with the acquisition of Logan Circle Partners (LCP) where he served as a portfolio manager for the emerging market debt and multi-sector strategies. Prior to joining LCP in 2007, he was the head of the emerging market debt team at Delaware Investments, responsible for the implementation of both credit and emerging market strategies in total return portfolios. He began his career at Delaware Investments as a research analyst and has 21 years of investment experience.
Scott received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Washington and Lee University. He is a CFA® charterholder.

Alexander Spry Institutional Client Group - EMEA, MetLife Investment Management
Ali Spry joined MetLife Investment Management (MIM) in June 2016 to support the MIM EMEA business development team and is focused on the Middle East, Nordics and Benelux regions.
Prior to joining MIM, he was an operations manager for EP&T Global, a technology firm in the management of real estate energy consumption. Ali previously served for 16 years in the British Army, retiring in 2013 as a lieutenant colonel. During this time he served on multiple operational and combat tours, including spending significant time in the Middle East as well as a period working for HRH The Prince of Wales as his equerry.
Ali speaks Arabic and is a CFA Investment Management Certificate (IMC) holder.

Omotunde Lawal Head of Emerging Markets Corporate Debt, Barings
Omotunde (CFA), is Head of the Emerging Markets Corporate Debt team. She is the Lead portfolio manager on the Emerging Markets Debt Corporate Bond and Short Duration strategies. She chairs the Emerging Markets Corporate Investment Committee, and is also a member of the Global High Yield Allocation Committee and Global Investment Grade Allocation Committee. Tunde has worked in the industry since 2000, and prior to joining the firm in 2014, she was a Portfolio Manager at Cosford Capital Management, focusing on high yield and distressed LATAM and CEEMEA corporates. Prior to that she was at Standard Bank London where she traded and invested in distressed and stressed Emerging Markets corporate debt in LATAM and CEEMEA for the Principal Trading team. Earlier, Tunde worked at Barclays Capital and Deloitte & Touche/Arthur Andersen. Tunde holds a B.Sc. in Accounting & Finance from University of Warwick and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England and Wales and is a CFA Charterholder.

James Anderson Head of UK & EMEA Sales and Distribution, Barings
James Anderson is Head of Barings’ UK & EMEA Sales and Distribution business and is also a member of Barings’ Global Sales Leadership group. He is responsible for capital raising, sales, marketing and client relationships across the region with institutional investors, asset consultants and wealth distribution partners across Barings’ full suite of investment capabilities. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, James was at AllianceBernstein (AB) where he was responsible for capital raising and client relations within the UK institutional market. Before his time at AB, James worked in private wealth management advisory in Hong Kong. James holds a B.Sc. (Hons) degree from Imperial College London.
