Gustave Loriot Responsible Investment Manager, London LGPS CIV
Gustave joined London CIV in November 2020 as a Responsible Investment Manager. Having previously worked as a Senior ESG data Specialist for a large financial services organisation, Gustave now leads the Pool’s work on ESG risk analysis, providing insight into potential risks and opportunities that may impact the Pool’s performance. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of the London CIV’s Net-Zero Strategy. Gustave has studied the interactions between finance, economics and the environment at the London School of Economics, where he holds a BSc in Environmental Policy with Economics, and at Imperial College, where he obtained an MSc in Climate Change Management and Finance.

Caroline Hopper Lead Consultant, Quietroom
Caroline is a Lead Consultant at Quietroom. Since joining in 2015, she’s helped asset managers communicate with investment consultants, helped fiduciary managers tell their story to trustees, and helped trustee boards talk to their members – in both the calm and the storm. She’s created videos about responsible investing, and animations about pension options. She’s worked on pensions communications and strategy for organisations including the FCA, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Nest, the People’s Pension, Prudential, Royal Mail, and SAUL.
Caroline is an ambassador for the Insuring Women’s Futures programme, a CFA UK Certificate in ESG holder, and a regular public speaker on the power of pensions. She also worked on the beginnings of Make My Money Matter, a campaign calling for the trillions of pounds invested in our UK pensions to build a better world.

Frank Eich Director,Economicscience
Frank is a Professional Economist with more than 20 years of experience of working in the public and private sectors. He has worked on public finances and pensions at HM Treasury, was involved in the emerging DB pensions buy-out market a decade ago and has advised governments on pension reform options at the IMF in Washington.
Between 2015 and 2020, Frank advised on international macroeconomics and financial stability issues at the Bank of England. Since then he has worked as a consultant on the green transition, with a particular focus on policy. Frank holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Nick Spencer Director, Gordian Advice
Nick is an influential Non-Executive Director and one of the leading voices in the UK Investment Advisory industry, following 30 years’ experience working as an adviser, an asset manager and trust director with Boards across the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Nick is recognised for a real passion for investing and, more importantly, a passion for his clients.
Nick brings demonstrable evidence of his knowledge of the intricacies of institutional investment with a strong practical and strategic understanding. He is one of a few who can create pennydrop moments when explaining the significance and application of ESG. He is a prize-winning thought leader who impresses with the extent of thought given to every major intellectual investment challenge.
In 2018, Nick founded his own sustainable advisory boutique, Gordian Advice where he is a sustainable investment strategist. Gordian Advice has helped asset owners responsible for over £100bn integrate long-term sustainability into their investment strategies and portfolios. Nick is also a Council Member for the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and a past chair of its Sustainability Board. He was Co-chair of Russell Investments’ EMEA Diversity & Inclusion committee & is an Ambassador for the Diversity Project.
