  Richard is a Partner in BDO’s Business Restructuring team based in London, leading the national BDO Pension Business Advisory team. Richard has advised on diverse and significant transactions such as Uniq plc (Employer), and AEA Group plc (Trustee), as well as numerous mid-market Covenant reviews including General Motors and EDS (Employer), plan compromises and regulatory defence assignments. Formerly Head of Pensions at Swiss Re and Partner at PwC where he advised the Pension Protection Fund and the Pensions Regulator on their creation.

• Ian Stewart
  Ian Steward is part of the BDO Pension Advisory team with a background as an Insolvency Practitioner and advisor to the Pensions Regulator. Since 2005 Ian has advised numerous Corporates and Trustees on covenant related issues in scheme funding and transactional related scenarios including negotiated compromises involving the Pensions Regulator and the Pension Protection Fund and was seconded to the Pensions Regulator in 2006 to advise the Pensions Regulator on its original Scheme Specific Funding guidance. Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a qualified Insolvency Practitioner with 20 years’ experience of turnaround work.
