Tobjorn Caesar Torbjorn is co-head of Actis's Infrastructure business, with specific responsibility for its power-related activities. Torbjorn has 20 years of experience in the energy sector, most of it in emerging markets. He joined Actis in late 2007 from Globeleq, the emerging markets power company. Torbjorn was directly involved in Globeleq's initial acquisitions in Africa and Asia and he oversaw all commercial, operational and business development activities in Africa, before being appointed as Globeleq's CEO. As CEO, he re-focused the company and managed Globeleq through the sale of the majority of its operating assets. Before joining Globeleq, Torbjorn spent three years as an entrepreneur and chief executive of a leading niche technology company. Between 1987 and 1999, he held positions at ABB in power plant service, sales, development and finance. He holds a Masters of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and an MBA from IMD in Switzerland. -
Stuart Richmond Watson Stuart is a Senior Fund Manager and has worked with UK institutional and private clients across a variety of fund sizes and styles. He is a member of LaSalle’s UK Investment Committee and UK Management Board. He is also a Trustee of the Jones Lang LaSalle Pension Fund and a member of its Investment Committee. -
Marc Nahum Marc joined Actis’s Investor Development Group in January 2011 as Distribution Director for Europe and the Middle East, based in London. Marc is responsible for Actis’s coverage of EMEA-based investors for fundraising and investor relations activities and has over 20 years of experience in investment banking and private equity fundraising. Marc started his career with NatWest Markets and later worked for the Private Fund Group of DLJ (acquired by Credit Suisse in 2000) where he was one of the original founders of its European operations. He subsequently worked in investor relations for RREEF, the alternative investment business of Deutsche Bank, as well as The Carlyle Group. Marc holds an MBA from the Booth Business School of the University of Chicago and a Business Degree from ESSEC (France). -
David Grylls David has over 20 years of experience developing, financing, building and managing power and energy projects. David joined Globeleq / Actis in 2003, leading the privatisation of Umeme, the acquisition and refinancing of Sidi Krir and the exit from Fortuna. Previously, David was a managing director of Midlands Power International, responsible for its power generation businesses in the UK, Pakistan and Turkey, and before that was at Covanta, Mission Energy and BP. He has a BA in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Bath and an MBA from the University of Kingston. -
Andrew Rose Alistair Seaton is Head of LaSalle Investment Management's European Research and Strategy Team of 9 people who are responsible for the strategy for over €10 billion of property assets. -
Alistair Seaton Alistair Seaton is Head of LaSalle Investment Management's European Research and Strategy Team of 9 people who are responsible for the strategy for over €10 billion of property assets. His principal function is to identify opportunities in European property markets and to formulate strategies for investors to exploit those opportunities. He is also responsible for developing new ways to analyse markets and managing portfolios. Prior to joining LaSalle in 2004, Alistair was a Senior Analyst in European Research at Jones Land LaSalle. Before joining Kones Land LaSalle he spent over 3 years at Investment Property Databank, an account manager. He completed a BSc (Hons) in Geography at the University of Edinburgh.
