University Dinner: Investing in Infrastructure Debt

Allianz Global Investors are pleased to be hosting their first Mallowstreet University Dinner as part of the 2013 University series. In this session, Deborah Zurkov and Adrian Jones, respectively Managing Director and Director of the Infrastructure team will outline the following:

Infrastructure has often been mooted as an asset class offering institutional investors the potential for real returns in the current low-yield environment. Historically these projects have been accessed via growth portfolios, as an alternative, and via equity within the capital structure of the project.

As banks retrench from the market, UK pension funds have the opportunity to take advantage of this, utilising debt in projects as liability matching assets. There are concerns surrounding the availability of the appropriate vehicles and investment expertise, construction risk and the extent to which deals are inflation linked, but these can be overcome. At thies event we will discuss the attractiveness of the asset class versus traditional fixed income during the current period of financial repression

This is a FREE event for Pensions Secretaries, Pensions Managers, Trustees, Pensions Chairs, Independent Trustees and Advisors. Please note that spaces are limited and available on first come first serve basis. To avoid disappointment please register for this event below
