Philip Poole Philip Poole is Global Head of Macro and Investment Strategy at HSBC Global Asset Management. He joined HSBC in June 2004 to head up the Group’s emerging markets research activities. Philip spends his time writing on emerging market economics (including the flagship “Primal Knowledge” publication that combines economics, strategy and sector views) and has developed multi asset class, cross regional research products for the Group’s corporate and institutional investors. Prior to joining HSBC, Philip was Head of Emerging Markets Fixed Income Research and Chief Emerging Markets Economist for ING where he was voted no.1 strategist for EMEA markets (by Reuters, Global Investor and Institutional Investor) and no.1 regional EM economist (by Institutional Investor, Global Investor and in the Greenwich survey). He was also involved in sovereign debt restructuring, including the USD2.6 billion 2000 Ukraine Debt Exchange where he was responsible for analysing debt sustainability. Prior to joining ING, he was Senior Emerging Markets Economist at Barclays where he worked on a broad range of issues and also chaired the economic and financial modelling sub-committees for the USD13.5 billion 1994 Poland Brady debt restructuring.

Peter Marber Peter has over 24 years investment experience and is the key architect of HSBC Global Asset Management’s award-winning global emerging markets debt platform. Previously, he was founding partner of The Atlantic Advisors, LLC, (acquired by HSBC in 2005). Peter was President of emerging market subsidiaries of Dresdner Kleinwort (formerly Wasserstein Perella) and a Director at UBS (formerly Swiss Bank Corporation). An acknowledged specialist in global investing, Peter has taught continuously and conducted research at Columbia University since 1993, has written more than 100 articles and columns, and has published three books on finance and public policy. He serves on boards for the World Policy Institute, New America Foundation, Columbia University, and EMTA - Trade Association for the Emerging Markets. Brian Dunnett Brian began his career at Société Générale promoting the bank's treasury and forex solutions before heading the European consultant relations team at Société Générale Asset Management. He moved to HSBC Global Asset Management in July 2006 as Head of Institutional Marketing. Since then, he is Senior Fixed Income Product Specialist with a particular focus on euro fixed income and global and emerging inflation linked bonds. He has a Masters in Management from ESC Nice and a BA in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from the University of California at San Diego.

Jonathan Curry Jonathan Curry is the Global CIO for the Liquidity business and has been working in the industry since 1989. Prior to joining HSBC in 2010, Jonathan worked as the Head of European Cash Management at Barclays Global Investors. He is a Board Member and Chair of the Technical Committee of the Institutional Money Market Fund Association, the industry association for AAA rated money market funds. He is also a member of the Bank of England's Money Market Liaison Group.

Phelim Bolger Phelim joined in November 2010 to look after UK clients and to assist in the growth of our business across hedge funds, real estate and private equity. Prior to joining HAIL, Phelim was an Executive Director and Head of UK Institutional Business at Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of UBP’s alternative and traditional funds to institutions, distributors and consultants. Before joining UBP in 2004, Phelim was Head of Marketing for Key Asset Management, a fund of hedge funds provider. He also spent three years with JPMorgan Asset Management focusing on alternative asset management. Phelim began his career in Dublin with Brown Brothers Harriman as an institutional account manager. He holds a first class degree from Trinity College Dublin, and an advanced diploma in Administration from the Dublin Institute of Technology.
