University Dinner: Which Infrastructure is right for you?

EISER Infrastructure Partners are pleased to be hosting their first Mallowstreet University Dinner as part of the 2013 University series.

Over the past few decades, infrastructure has emerged as a new distinct alternative asset class, alongside traditional private equity and real estate. Many institutional investors have recently increased their target allocation to infrastructure on the premise that infrastructure had the potential to deliver a unique investment profile as it gives access to real assets, providing essential services and which by nature offer long term visibility on future cash flows with some inflation linkage and low correlation to other equity markets. Infrastructure as a whole is being described as a low risk low return instrument delivering stable yields over a long period of time, making it a preferred option for pension funds and insurance companies in particular to match their long term inflation linked liabilities.

After more than ten years of exploring this asset class, EISER believes that various sub-pockets of infrastructure offer dramatically different risk/return profiles and that the infrastructure market has evolved from a “one size fits all” approach to a specialist approach. This means that investors are now facing a variety of investment options which have to be analysed in order to understand which sub-product of infrastructure will best address their investments objectives.

In a discussion lead by Hans Meissner, founder and Managing Partner of EISER Infrastructure Partners, the following topics will be addressed with a view to identifying "which infrastructure is right for you?":
  • Sub-sectors of infrastructure, key differences and risk return profiles
  • Sub-risk of infrastructure to be considered e.g. development risk, construction risk, regulatory risk and refinancing risk
  • Sub-products of infrastructure including private equity, listed equity, debt, direct and secondary
This event is free to attend for Trustees and Pension Fund Decision Makers. Please note that spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis; to avoid disappointment please register below to secure your space.
