Richard Elmslie Richard Elmslie is a founder, Co-Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chief Investment Officer of RARE Infrastructure. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Richard is involved in assessing and critiquing research on all strategies and ensuring the smooth operation of the firm. Prior to founding RARE in 2006, Richard spent 19 years in the global infrastructure sector, including five years as Head of Power and Joint Head of Infrastructure at UBS Investment Bank. Highlights of Richard’s career include being part of the advisory team on the privatisation of the UK / Scottish and New Zealand Telecom, as well as team leader on the privatisation of major Australian airports in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Richard holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a Fellow of FINSIA.

David Bentley Partner David is a founding Partner of ATLAS Infrastructure, based in our London office. He has over 17 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector. Prior to developing the ATLAS business, David worked with Rod Chisholm at RARE Infrastructure for over two years. David previously worked at the Future Fund (Australian Government Sovereign Wealth Fund) as an Investment Manager in its Infrastructure team. As part of this role David oversaw the Future Fund's investment in listed infrastructure and was responsible for managing a number of the Fund's unlisted infrastructure assets and pooled funds. Prior to this David worked for Deutsche Bank and PwC in infrastructure, utilities and natural resources M&A.

Richard Byrne Richard Byrne is president of Benefit Street Partners, which is the credit investing arm of Providence Equity Partners. Prior to joining Providence in 2013, Mr. Byrne was chief executive officer of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. He was also the global head of capital markets at Deutsche Bank. Before joining Deutsche Bank, Mr. Byrne was global co-head of the leveraged finance group and global head of credit research at Merrill Lynch. He was also a perennially top-ranked credit analyst.

David Hunter David leads First Avenue's credit fund business line and is also responsible for its consultancy relationships. With over 20 years' in institutional investment consulting, fund manager research, selection and ratings, David qualified as an actuary with Mercer. During his spell at Aon, he was responsible for UK asset-liability management and worldwide manager research. David has also advised Standard & Poors on Asset Manager and Sponsor Covenant Assessment Services. He sits on the advisory council of AIMSE International and was a founding member of the Pension Risk Transfer Advisory Council. David holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics with Computing from King's College, University of London.

William Nicoll William Nicoll is Co-Head of Alternative Credit at M&G Investments. William joined M&G Investments in 2004 and is Co-head of Alternative Credit. He is responsible for the development of various products including credit solutions for institutional investors, social housing and other aspects of non-bank lending. Prior to joining M&G, William was Head of European Credit at Henderson Global Investors and before this had worked at Cazenove & Co in corporate bond research and fund management. William graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University with a degree in Natural Sciences. He is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
