University Dinner: The Emergence of Emerging Market Debt

First State Investments are pleased to be hosting their second mallowstreet University Dinner of 2015.

Emerging Market Debt (‘EMD’) has seen significant adoption across the institutional investor spectrum, with assets growing significantly since the Credit Crunch and onset of unconventional monetary policy in 2008.

Paul Griffiths, Fixed Income CIO at First State Investments (‘First State’) will give an overview of the evolution of EMD markets to become a mainstream asset class and strategic holding for many of the world’s leading investors today.

Manuel Canas, Deputy Head of EMD at First State will share his insight from his time spent working in, and researching these markets. Manuel will discuss the relative characteristics of the EMD opportunity set, the relative cases for hard and local currency, sovereign and corporate issues and the implications for portfolio management.

Finally, Paul and Manuel will outline their current market views and highlight the key risks and opportunities for EMD investing over the coming months.

This event is free and exclusively for Trustees and Decision makers so register now to avoid disappointment!
