Martin Kellaway - OPDU Martin has worked in pensions for 27 years and has extensive experience across the UK sector.
Following a solid foundation in leading life office and consulting practices which concentrated on pensions legal, contractual, and project management areas, he set up a niche company specialising in dispute resolution in the capacity as founding Director. Martin then moved to a major UK life office where he focused on risk management for pension liabilities working for both schemes and sponsors involving buy out and buy in transactions.
Martin's experience also includes subject matter expert (SME) support for group internal audit (GIA) on the largest bulk annuity deal written in the UK market to date, reviews of its BPA operations and contract terms. He has also provided SME support for GIA of a niche bulk annuity provider and for GIA of a major closed life office.
Martin is Chair of Trustees of the CMI Retirement Benefits Scheme and is now Executive Director at the Occupational Pensions Defence Union (OPDU) at Thomas Miller which specialises in protection for Trustees, sponsors and schemes for key risks.

Phill Beach Phill heads up the Core Business for Legal & General’s Pension Risk Transfer team.
The business has responsibility for offering insurance de-risking solutions, such as buyouts, buy-ins and longevity insurance, to pension schemes and sponsoring companies. Phill and his team help clients to achieve their de-risking goals and accelerate their objectives through a range of innovative solutions. In addition to his responsibilities in the UK,
Phill is leading Legal & General’s development of a co-insurance proposition with New Ireland into the Irish pension de-risking market. Phill is an Actuary and has fifteen years of insurance industry.
