Mike Chappell is Head of Private Markets at Phoenix Group and Interim CIO of Phoenix RE in Bermuda.
He joined the Phoenix Group in 2018 to head the Illiquid Asset origination and portfolio management team within our Asset Management Business.
He was previously Managing Director & Global Industry Head for the Infrastructure & Energy sector at Lloyds Banking Group with overall responsibility for global business origination.
Prior to this, he headed Lloyds Bank Project Finance team where he led the team executing global Project Finance and Infrastructure debt opportunities.
He holds a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and a Member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

Christian Hristov Senior Investment Manager, Private Assets, PIC Capital
Christian is a Senior Investment Manager at PIC, focusing on Structuring & Pricing Private Assets (Real Estate & Private Credit). Christian started his career at the Structured Products Team, Willis Towers Watson, working on investment strategies and hedging optimisation for DB Pension Schemes.
He then joined Schroders as a portfolio solutions manager, where he was working with DB Schemes and Insurance Companies on optimising portfolio solutions and asset allocation strategies. After 4 years at Schroders, Christian joined a startup focused on applying Institutional ALM solutions to UHNWI.
Christian then worked for Moody’s Analytics as an assistant director, building investment products around portfolio optimisation solutions for institutional clients. Between 2021 – 2023, Christian was Investment Manager at L&G, responsible for Private Assets pricing (Real Estate & Private Credit).

Emma Gullifer Fund Manager, Columbia Threadneedle
Emma, MRICS, is the co-fund manager of the CT UK Affordable Build to Rent Strategy, a strategy focused on delivering resilient income and positive impact through the delivery of affordable build-to-rent housing. Emma joined Columbia Threadneedle REP following a portfolio manager role at DTZ Investors, where she worked across two discretionary balanced UK Property pension fund mandates. Emma is the also the Assistant Fund Manager of the CT UK Property Fund.

James Edwards Director, Institutional Business, Columbia Threadneedle
James is a Director within the UK Institutional team with a particular focus on Corporate DB pension schemes. Prior to joining BMO Global Asset Management in May 2018, James worked at BlackRock for 10 years as both an institutional client director and a fixed income product specialist, with a focus on global credit. James is a CFA Charterholder.

Felipe Berliner Group CIO, Gemcorp Capital Management
Felipe is responsible for the firm’s structuring team and is a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to Gemcorp, he spent most of his career at Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs in emerging markets, structuring financing and derivative transactions. Before this he was at VTB Capital, working on financing companies, financial institutions and sovereigns in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Asia. Before his banking career, he worked as a capital markets M&A and project finance lawyer in Brazil. Felipe has a law degree from the Universidade CandidoMendes, Brazil and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

Phillip Rose Head of Solutions, Gemcorp Capital Management
Philip is Head of Solutions at Gemcorp. Previously he worked for fifteen years at Redington, where he was the Chief Investment Officer: Strategy & Risk,
responsible for asset allocation and investment process. He started his thirtyyear career in finance in derivatives structuring, working at NatWest Markets, Morgan Stanley & Merrill Lynch where he was instrumental in designing and executing the first full scheme LDI hedge for a UK pension scheme. Phillip has a BSc in Mathematics and Management from Imperial College.
