Jason Becker Head of DC Consulting, Capita Pension Solutions
Jason was the Co-founder and CEO of a large DC investment and consulting business in South Africa from 2006 to 2023. In 2012 he established an asset manager business which today manages significant assets.
He recently relocated to the UK where he has taken up the position as Head of DC investment consulting at Capita Pension Solutions.

The number of DB Schemes finding themselves with a surplus has increased, leaving Trustees and Employers having a decision to make about who benefits from this.
Reena will take us through some interesting case studies of her clients who are using their DB surplus to fund DC contributions. She will provide an insight into their thinking and challenges as well as discussing how these DC Schemes operate in order to provide a seamless journey to and through retirement.

Samantha Pitt Director, Law Debenture Pension Trustees
Samantha is a qualified accountant and has been a Pension Trustee since January 2013 and joined LawDeb in late 2018. She has 25 years’ experience as a Treasury, Corporate Finance and Debt Financing professional gained in a variety of large Corporates, mainly regulated utilities.
She has expertise in debt financing, cash/liquidity management, investment strategy, financial risk management and Corporate Finance (M&A, JV structuring and balance sheet/company restructurings). She uses this expertise to add value to investment discussions.
At LawDeb Samantha works across twelve schemes including DB, DC and Hybrid with assets ranging from £50m to over £11bn. She chairs six of these schemes with majority being DC schemes (two being authorised Master Trusts).
She is focused on ESG integration into investments and on improving member engagement and communications through digital solutions, e.g. Apps and member outcome solutions.
Up until September 2022, she acted as a NED of The Guinness Partnership (one of the largest Housing Associations) and Chair of its Audit and Risk Committee and Pensions Committee.
