mallowstreet Dublin Roadshow 2025

mallowstreet returns to one of its favourite cities...Dublin.

Join us for an engaging morning workshop in Dublin where we will hear from four leading asset managers. These roundtable sessions will focus on the latest trends, regulatory updates, innovative solutions and discuss how pension investments can positively impact the community through ESG and sustainability lenses. We will delve into the new tools and enhancements at our disposal in this increasingly digital age, and address the pressing questions trustees should consider in today’s economic climate.

This roadshow is designed to equip you with the knowledge and connections needed to navigate the evolving landscape of pension investments effectively. Due to limited availability, early registration is strongly recommended.

This event is FREE to attend for investment decision makers and their advisers, and is accredited for CPD points by the Pensions Management Institute (PMI).

  3. Investment Masterclass I: Winning by Not Losing

Equity valuations are currently high, implying prospective returns are likely to be lower from this starting point. In turn, heightened concerns around the sustainability of US government debt levels and rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Eastern Europe add further uncertainty to this backdrop. Whilst the bulk of the market believes a soft landing is likely, investors are exposed to potential downside risks if this does not materialise.

Avoiding trap doors by not investing in illiquid, overvalued corporate bonds, companies with weaker business models or alternative investments is crucial. Winning by not losing and being ready to take advantage when opportunities present themselves is core to this strategy.

In this session Charlotte and Michael will discuss the diversification benefits of each asset class and the different roles these play in preserving capital. They will also talk to how Troy’s Multi-Asset Strategy’s dynamic asset allocation is poised to move quickly when opportunities arise in the market and how the ability to be dynamic significantly improves risk-adjusted returns.

  5. Investment Masterclass II: How can we Support the Irish and UK Grids with the Essential Yet Unstoppable Rise of Renewables?

Significant investment is needed to support the grid and provide additional infrastructure, far beyond just generation. In fact, the energy transition requires infrastructure such as 'synchronous condensers', catering for decarbonisation of transport and the co-location of batteries alongside generation assets. With over a quarter of a century in the renewable energy space, Quinbrook will use the Irish and UK markets to discuss growing opportunities in climate impact to combat holistic gridlock.

  7. Investment Masterclass III: Sustainable Investing: Understanding ESG in Bonds

Sustainable investing is continuously evolving and investors globally take a range of approaches when assessing sustainability in their investment portfolios. There is growing recognition in the marketplace that integrating ESG factors into traditional credit analysis adds a holistic and long-term perspective that aligns well with bond investing. Moreover, issuers often return to the bond market – unlike the stock market – in order to refinance old debt or seek new funding, giving bond investors a unique opportunity to identify risks, engage issuers and build relationships that can influence change.

As a leading fixed income manager, we believe PIMCO’s size, history, and involvement across industry initiatives, provides the ability to provide sustainable investment solutions to investors and a platform to engage with issuers who are both leading and continuing to evolve in their approach to sustainability.

In this session we will detail how fixed income investors can assess, engage with issuers and influence positive change that may potentially benefit investors and the community as a whole.
