Sustainable investment is becoming ingrained in every aspect of Barnett Waddingham’s advice. As Head of the Sustainable Investment Team, Pete is responsible for helping Barnett Waddingham develop its thinking, to enable clients to understand the challenges around sustainable investment and formulate their policies. Pete is passionate about the opportunity set sustainability provides and the tailwinds supporting it. To that end, his focus balances the challenge with the key part of implementing the solution for financial benefit – better risk management or opportunities for enhanced returns.

Alasdair McHugh Investment Director - Baillie GiffordAlasdair is an investment director on our Sustainable Growth Strategy. He joined Baillie Gifford in 2008 as a graduate trainee and initially focussed on the UK market and our longest-standing pooled vehicle, The Baillie Gifford Managed Fund. In 2015 Alasdair became a founding member of our Sustainable Growth Team where he now chairs the strategy’s Product Group. Since joining the firm, he has also been involved with internal environmental sustainability groups, looking at the firm’s own climate credentials and considering strategic positioning in an increasingly complex field. Alasdair previously trained as a Chartered Management Accountant after graduating from the University of Dundee in 2006.

Clare Erskine-Murray Client Relationship Manager - Baillie Gifford
Clare is a client relationship director with responsibility for a number of UK-based clients investing in a range of strategies. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford in 2012, she worked as a European Equity broker at Credit Agricole Cheuvreux and at Cazenove & Co, both in London and New York. Clare graduated BA (Hons) in French from the University of Durham in 1992 and holds a postgraduate diploma from the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Michael O'Rourke Institutional Investor Relationships, EMEA - World Gold Council
Michael joined the World Gold Council in 2023, and sits within the Institutional Investor Relationships team. Michael works with investors across the EMEA region to develop their understanding of gold as an asset class and the benefits of including a strategic allocation within their portfolio. Michael’s background is in investment consulting, having previously worked at Aon for 6 years advising predominantly UK Defined Benefit pension schemes on their investment strategy. Michael has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of York, and is a CFA charter holder.

Jaspar Crawley Head of Institutional Investor Relationships, APAC ex-China - World Gold Council
Jaspar is the Head of Institutional Investor Relationships, APAC ex-China and joined the World Gold Council in August 2018. Jaspar is responsible for building long-term relationships with institutional gold investors.
Jaspar has over 15 years’ experience in the gold industry and related fields, working as a precious metals sales trader at UBS and Deutsche Bank. Formerly a Captain in the British Army, Jaspar holds a degree in History (BA Hons) from Newcastle University, the STA Diploma in Technical Analysis, is a CAIA charter holder and is undertaking an MBA at Oxford University.

Hugh Yarrow Portfolio Manager - Evenlode
Hugh is the co-founder of Evenlode and is the lead Portfolio Manager of Evenlode Income, having launched the fund in October 2009. He previously managed several equity income funds at Rathbone Unit Trust Management.
Hugh graduated from Edinburgh University with a first-class degree in Philosophy and Mathematics. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Justin Eede Director - Spring Capital
Justin joined Spring Capital as a Director in 2021. Along with Malcolm, he is responsible for the day-to-day management of the business, focused on the distribution team and several key client relationships. Prior to joining, Justin worked at GT Management, Invesco and spent 20 years at Legg Mason, where he was responsible for business development and client service in Europe and the Americas.

Fritz von Westenholz Business Development Director - Troy Asset Management
Fritz joined Troy Asset Management in 2009 as Head of Business Development, to manage existing investor relationships and identify new business opportunities. He was promoted to the Board in 2017.
He began his career in fund management in 2002 after graduating from Edinburgh University. Fritz completed the Management Acceleration Programme at INSEAD in February 2015.

Michael Kinsella Investment Specialist - Troy Asset Management
Michael is an investment specialist on the Multi-Asset Strategy. Michael joined the Business Development Team at Troy in May 2016 from Veritas Investment Management where he worked as an Assistant Portfolio Manager.
Michael graduated from Dublin Business School with a BA (hons) in Business Studies in 2005. Michael holds a Masters in Wealth Management from the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments, CFA Level 1 and the IMC.

Toni Vainio Partner - PantheonToni is a Partner in Pantheon’s Global Private Credit Investment and European Investment Teams. He previously worked in the private markets team at Cambridge Associates, where he advised institutional investors on their private market investment programs and conducted research and due diligence on private market funds, managers, and markets. Toni has an MPhil in economics from the University of Oxford and a BEng in engineering with business finance, which was jointly taught at University College London and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is fluent in Finnish, Spanish and English.
