Dawid Konotey-Ahulu CBE DL Co-founder, mallowstreet
Dawid is a serial entrepreneur, having co-founded Redington and mallowstreet with Robert Gardner. Dawid remains involved in mallowstreet as a Board Director.
Most recently Dawid co-founded The #10000BlackInterns programme with Jonathan Sorrell (President of Capstone Investment Advisers), Michael Barrington-Hibbert (founder of Barrington-Hibbert Associates), and Wol Kolade (Managing Partner of Livingbridge), the group which founded #100BlackInterns in August 2020.
Through the #100BlackInterns initiative, leading players in the investment management industry have come together to address the chronic underrepresentation of Black talent in that sector. Since its launch, the programme has garnered extraordinary support with 200 investment management companies offering internships in the Summer of 2021 to Black students in the United Kingdom as a way of attracting a more diverse range of talent to their industry.
Following the launch of #100BlackInterns, the #10000BlackInterns initiative has been designed to help transform the horizons and prospects of young Black people in the United Kingdom. The 10,000 Black Interns programme will offer paid work experience across a wide range of sectors, providing training and development opportunities and creating a sustainable cycle of mentorship and sponsorship for the Black community.

Martyn James Director of Investment, now: pensions
Martyn is the Director of Investment for now:pensions, the UK master trust provider.
Martyn is responsible for leading the investment strategy for the business, with a focus on improving returns and retirement outcomes for its members; and enhancing the sustainability characteristics of the portfolio.
Martyn joined now: pensions in April 2024. Prior to joining now:pensions, Martyn spent 22 years at Mercer, most recently as a Partner within Mercer’s UK DC business, but also with a recent two and a half year secondment leading Mercer’s Wealth (Pensions and Investments) business in Latin America. With the recent acquisition of now:pensions, Martyn is back with Mercer within the DC business, collaborating with colleagues responsible for Mercer Workplace Savings solutions to consider how to develop the two master trust propositions together.

Padmesh Shukla Chief Investment Officer, Transport for London Pension Fund
Padmesh is CIO of £16 billion Transport for London Pension Fund where he has delivered major changes from diversifying the Fund’s bond and equities portfolio to building its over £6 billion alternatives programme. He has also lead the Fund’s sustainability and engagement strategy, which lead to the Fund announcing a very ambitious Net Zero targets in 2021. Emerging markets are of particular interest to him, having previously worked at the World Bank and the Centre for International Development. He went to Harvard University on full scholarship for his Masters in International Economics and Development (MPA/ID) and has a Bachelors in Civil Engineering. He sits on the UK CFA Asset Owner Council and several boards and is involved in multiple research and policy initiatives.

Chetan Gosh Outsourced CIO, Centrica Pension Schemes,Schroders Solutions
Chetan is the Chief Investment Officer for Centrica’s pension scheme arrangements within a Common Investment Fund and has held an in-house role for the last 16 years. For the last three years, he has carried out that role under an OCIO relationship within Schroders. His role covers investment strategy considerations, asset class and manager research, and all aspects of investment implementation. He has 30 years of industry experience, which started on the consultancy side, where he spent five years as a pensions actuary and 10 years on the investment side, a large part of which was at Hewitt. Immediately prior to joining Centrica, Chetan developed the fiduciary management offering at an asset manager where he was able to gain valuable experience in improving investment decision making governance structures.

Punil Chaubal Global Head of Insurance Investments, Willis Tower Watson
Punil is the Global Head of Insurance Investment at WTW. He leads a team of over 20 dedicated insurance investment professionals advising on over $1.5tn (£1.1tn) of assets globally. His team are committed to supporting insurers consider their investment strategy, strategic asset allocation and portfolio implementation.
Punil has over 15 years of experience and joined WTW in 2022, working with insurance companies globally. Prior to joining WTW, Punil supported numerous UK and European insurers with management of investments, capital and sustainability risks. He earned a BSc in Mathematical Science from City University and an MSc in Actuarial Science from Heriot Watt University.

Stephen Marsh Senior Portfolio Manager: Multi-Asset & Private Market Investor, Independent
Stephen has over two decades of investment experience and a diverse background working across multiple asset classes. Stephen joined Lloyds in early 2025, prior to joining he worked as a senior portfolio manager at a hedge fund after spending eight years at T. Rowe Price in their London office, where he was an institutional portfolio manager. Before that, he was head of fixed income at SEI Investments.
Stephen’s career also includes investment roles at Merrill Lynch, RMB International, and Liontrust Asset Management. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds a B.A. (with honours) in Business Studies, majoring in Economics, from the University of Central Lancashire.
